The tournament is completely free to enter, with the first round of matches taking place on 2nd and 3rd May at over 120 venues around the country. Get through that and you’ll be one of the teams heading for five regional finals, which take place on 30th and 31st May.

Should you and your merry band of ballers triumph there, the next stop is the national final, where the regional champions will battle out for ultimate victory in London on 12th and 13th June – the opening weekend of Euro 2020.

So FA Fives solves two of the problems listed above – the organisation and cost – but still we hear you ask, “How will I ensure people actually turn up?” The FA has got you covered there too, because every participant, no matter how successful the team, enters a draw to win tickets to one of England’s Euro 2020 group games at Wembley.

That’s actually a compelling prize for once, because England are one of the most exciting attacking teams in the tournament and are definitely not going to choke playing Iceland at any stage, because Iceland didn’t qualify.

You can sign up to take part in FA Fives from 4th March until 23rd April. There are 15 participant categories to give everyone a shot at success, so start gathering names now to ensure you have a top-notch squad to take to the first round of matches in early May.
