Great Christmas Gifts For People Who Are Running The Next London Marathon
By Nick Harris-Fry last updated
New Balance has launched its London Marathon range of running gear

Think back to the second week of October when the results of the London Marathon ballot came out. You may well have seen a raft of posts on social media from several delighted/terrified friends and family members who snagged a spot in the race.
If so, lucky you, because that will make buying Christmas gifts for those people very easy this year. Running gear is what they need and while there’s plenty out there, the obvious choice is to get them something from New Balance’s just-launched London Marathon range.
The collection includes several of our favourite bits of New Balance running gear, complete with a London Marathon logo to make it that bit more special (and don’t worry – that logo hasn’t put an extra 10% on the price of the gear). Here are a few choice selections that we’re certain any London Marathon-bound runner will be delighted to find under the tree come the 25th.

This versatile top is a great piece to have in the wardrobe ready for winter training sessions. It can be worn over a base layer or next to the skin with waffle fleece fabric on the inside that feels delightfully cosy. The sleeves have thumb loops hidden on the inside so the whole hand gets some protection from the chill.

Sure, we like the pattern and the reflective details, but what really makes these women’s tights special are the four pockets – two in the waistband and two on the thighs. Running gear is annoying short of pockets in general, so having four to shove valuables and gels in is a real treat.

If the runner in your life already has all the performance gear they’ll ever need, you can still find a present for them from New Balance’s range in the shape of this cotton tee, which has a design featuring the start and finish postcodes of the marathon.
