The jelly belly to abs of steel plan is made up of three two-week stages (Jelly to Wood, Wood to Stone and Stone to Steel). In each section you’ll do two different workouts. Each workout follows the same format. First you do a four-move whole-body circuit, then you do a three-move abs circuit. Here’s why.
Whole-body circuit The circuit alternates between upper- and lower-body compound moves, which flushes lactic acid up and down the body very fast and produces a lot of growth hormone. That’s great for building muscle and helps to stimulate fat loss.
Abs circuit You work the abs at the end when you don’t need so much co-ordination and support. The three exercises in each circuit will work the areas that are in the abs anatomy section on this page.
