Fig, Gorgonzola and Rocket Wrap

However, there are the elite few who operate on full power from dawn till dusk. Getting plenty of good quality sleep is one of the secrets of these people, but so is a good diet that provides sustained energy release rather than spikes and crashes. Fig, Gorgonzola and Rocket Wrap Recipe

Ingredients (Serves One)

  • 1 wholemeal tortilla wrap
  • 1tsp clear honey
  • 3 figs (quartered) 
  • 30g Gorgonzola cheese, diced
  • 1/4 red onion (thinly sliced)
  • 5 sundried tomatoes
  • Handful of rocket

Method

Warm the wrap for 40 seconds under a medium grill. Scatter the rocket, red onions and gorgonzola over the wrap. Wash the figs, quarter them and place on top along with the sundried tomatoes. Drizzle the honey over the top.

We used the calculator on Myfitnesspal, one of the best weight-loss apps for calorie counting, to give us an idea of the nutritional values of this recipe. This tasty wrap contains 765 calories, and provides 110g of carbohydrates, 26g of fat, 22g of protein and 13g of fibre.

Figs contain the essential fatigue-fighting minerals magnesium, copper and potassium. As well as being a good source of protein, gorgonzola contains a variety of minerals and vitamins, including phosphorus, potassium, iron and calcium. The high fibre content of this wrap will keep you feeling full and will help keep your gut healthy.
