We’re all well versed in how tough it can be to get out the front door and into some serious exercise early on a Saturday morning. It takes a huge amount of self-discipline to fall out of bed and into your trainers, a huge amount of determination to block out the niggling excuses your head manages to come up with in order to roadblock your good intentions and a heck of a lot to pick up your sweatband instead of the Xbox controller.
The answer? A world champion athlete barking instructions directly into your face. Yeah, that’d probably do it.
Lucozade Sport’s Made to Move Sessions (opens in new tab) are just that: a new series of workout classes hosted by a spectrum of top-drawer sport and fitness ambassadors. And you could be there with them.
The first event kicks off on Saturday 22nd October at 10am, with none other than IBF World Heavyweight boxing champion and Olympic gold medallist, Anthony Joshua. His specially designed bodyweight workout is suited to all ranges of experience levels, so no matter how clued up (or not) you are on title-winning exercises, you can get on board.
Fancy pitching your training mettle against the champ? A whopping 57 PureGyms around the country will be live-streaming the event up on the big screen, with hundreds of spots up for grabs (apply for one of them here (opens in new tab)). The Big Man himself will be leading the workout in one (undisclosed) location, so you may be able to sweat alongside him.
Then again, if you’d rather tackle the gruelling session from the comfort of your own home, there’s an option to do that, too. The live-streaming doesn’t just stop at the PureGym locations: it will be available to anyone who fancies watching it from their TV, laptop or tablet.
Feeling it? Of course you are. Get your blood pumping good and early – as in, right now – by checking out the useful tricks and tips video from Mr Joshua below. Remember now – no excuses.
