SureMen Maximum Protection

This promises 48-hour wetness protection, even after a shower. We're not sure how you'd put that to the test unless you keep your arms clamped to your sides while you wash (a little impractical to say the least), but it has got a clean, powdery scent and kept our armpits dry during a heavy session at the gym.

Ted Baker Men's Limited Edition Ed10

Known more for shirts than grooming products, Ted Baker pulls it out of the bag with this antiperspirant. It has a warm, spicy fragrance and it's more than decent at keeping sweat at bay. It's got the coolest packaging too - what's not to like about mechanical sharks?

Adidas Fresh Impact

This is designed with Cool Spray technology, which is said to provide an immediate cooling sensation that's activated at the first sign of moisture. The smell is on the bland side and it doesn't prevent wetness as well as the others here, but the cap-free applicator makes it a great choice for your gym bag.

Right Guard 3-D Protection Sport

The cheapest and, unfortunately, the most powdery one in this test. It does what no deodorant should and leaves white marks on your clothing so, unless you're wearing white, you'll look decidedly silly. A shame because it does a good job of keeping you smelling fresh and feeling dry.
