Lee Valley Park Has Activities Galore – And There Are Hundreds Of Free Tickets

Stretching for 42 glorious kilometres and taking in parts of London, Hertfordshire and Essex, the Lee Valley Regional Park is home to almost every active pursuit you can think of, and this summer you have the chance to try your hand at 25 different sports and experiences for free.

The Lee Valley Big 50 is giving away 900 free tickets, ranging from sportier options like week-long memberships of the Athletics Centre to more sedate trips like a tour of the Myddelton House Gardens.

You can enter the ballots for as many different activities as you like until 15th May – then cross your fingers and wait to hear if you’ve won. To help entice you further, here are five ballots in the Lee Valley Big 50 it’s definitely worth entering.

Lee Valley Athletics Centre – Gym Membership

There are five tickets on offer in this ballot, which grants victors a week’s free membership at the state-of-the-art training centre, which includes a cardio fitness area, strength and conditioning suite and indoor and outdoor tracks.

Lee Valley White Water Centre – White Water Raft Adventure

The white-water course in Lee Valley was home to the canoe slalom events at the 2012 Olympics. Team GB won gold and silver in the Men’s C-2 event, providing some fond memories to recall as you fly down the rapids in a raft. Enter this ballot for the chance to win one of 30 tickets.

Lee Valley VeloPark – Outdoor Taster Experience

Whatever your brand of cycling – be it mountain biking, road or BMX – the VeloPark has you covered. You can whizz around the road circuit, tackle tough MTB trails or judder your way over the bumps of the BMX track. There are 100 tickets on offer for this one.

There are 50 two-week memberships available to win here. What better place to tackle a variety of indoor cycling workouts than a studio in the 2012 Olympic VeloPark itself?
