RECOMMENDED: More Competitions

The London Duathlon is the world’s largest duathlon, offering participants the chance to run-bike-run around Richmond Park on closed roads, so you’ll only have fellow competitors and the deer for company. There are several options available (see londonduathlon.com), from a 32km half-duathlon up to a daunting 107km ultra.

The half-duathlon starts and ends with a 5km run, sandwiching a 22km cycle, so should be achievable for almost anyone. The full duathlon is, as you’d expect, a little more testing. It starts with a 10km run, then there’s a 44km cycle, before a final run of 5km.

Charity places are available, but if you despise the idea of running for a good cause (or, more likely, don’t manage to nab a charity place) don’t despair, Coach has five spots available in either the half- or full duathlon

The competition is valid for places in the Half Duathlon and Duathlon. It will end on Wednesday 17th August at 12pm and all winners will be notified by 6pm on Thursday 18th August. All winners must be available on Sunday 18th September in order to take part. Good luck!
